We are so pleased to invite you and your fellow guild members, friends, and family to the Gray Ghost Inn’s first biannual Quilters’ Retreat, now to be held October 14-17, 2021. Less than three hours from Boston and just over four from New York City and Montreal, our friendly, family-run inn offers our famously welcoming hospitality inside and the best of southern Vermont at our doorstep. Rates for the full three-day weekend are $228 per person based on double occupancy, or $338 single.
A tentative schedule for the weekend is attached. We will update you with final arrangements closer to time, but be assured your very reasonable rate will include:
- 3 nights’ accommodations in our spotlessly clean, comfortable, and welcoming inn.
- Home-cooked breakfast daily
- Two informal lunches
- One hosted wine and cheese reception
- One group dinner on-site, chef-made especially for our quilters
- Name tags for making new friends
- Table work space for working in our Great Room
- Access to an area quilt shop’s resources and merchandise
- Other surprises, treats, and gifts throughout the weekend.
Your $50 refundable deposit will hold your space, with final payment for the Spring ’21 event due September 15.

Arrive Thursday, any time after 2:00 p.m.:
Register in the lobby; informal meet and greet throughout the evening
Work time if desired; suggestions for area restaurants provided
Quilt Shop Representative on hand 4:00-6:00 p.m.
Carina and her staff will be available for any questions about the inn or the area
Friday:
Included breakfast available 7-8:30 a.m.
Work space available 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Lunch (sandwiches, chips, fruit, cookies, soup) 12-1 provided
Welcome Reception (wine and cheese, other refreshments) provided 5:30-6:30
Dinner 6:45-7:45; Coffee and Tea station included or BYOB
Saturday:
Included breakfast available 7-8:30 a.m.
Work space available 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Lunch (sandwiches, chips, fruit, cookies, soup) 12-1 provided
Dinner: carpool to area restaurants. Sign up for reserved blocks with friends old or new Friday through Saturday morning–or enjoy take-out/delivery back at the Inn (self-pay).
Sunday:
Breakfast 7:30-9:00 a.m.
Work time 9:30-departure
Late check-out (1:00 p.m.) available
