    The 2017 Adventure Challenge season opens Fri, May 26th, 2017 and stays open until Monday, September 4th, 2017.

    You can sign up today and begin the Challenge any time, including weekdays and weekends, within that period. The last day of the Challenge is Sept 4th, 2017 so you must complete it by then.

  • Gray Ghost Inn To Host Two New Road Scholar Tours April 27, 2017

    Two new Road Scholar tours have been added to our roster for 2017 here at the Gray Ghost Inn.  For nature and history enthusiasts, there’s From Railroads to Wildlife: Learning Walks in Southern Vermont.  This year’s history focus is railroad history.  And for those who prefer challenging indoor recreation, we’re continuing our popular bridge tour with Learn by Playing: Bridge Lessons in the Green Mountains.

Discover the state’s colonial history and explore scenic landscapes in the Green Mountain State’s famously lush forests. Each week of this program will focus on a different topic, so choose your course: from wildlife and ecology to the history of Vermont railroads. Each theme will lead you down a different path: along railroad trails and around reservoirs or through moose habitats and along beaver ponds.

    Learn by Playing: BridgeElevate your bridge game to new heights in the idyllic Green Mountains of Vermont, where you’ll learn about bidding, taking tricks, defensive play and much more!

    At a Glance
    In picturesque Vermont, award-winning, certified instructors teach concepts rather than rules and help you master the game of bridge by playing hands. Each day’s sessions include expert presentations on bidding, play of the hand and defense. By program’s end, you will have heightened your bridge skills and tested them by partnering up for a competitive but fun mini-tournament — perhaps with a jug of Vermont maple syrup as a grand prize!
